What is CapFlight 2000?

CapFlight 2000 is a multiplayer computer simulation of the space shuttle for Windows based computers.  The space shuttle is simulated with five modules that run on separate computers.  Mission control consists of nine mission controller consoles, where each console runs on a separate computer.  The system sends telemetry information from space to the Mission Control across a local or wide area network.  The telemetry system provides simulation data from the five onboard shuttle system modules to all nine mission control consoles.

The simulation allows a group of people to experience the teamwork environment needed to successfully fly the space shuttle.  Players can assume the roles of space craft commander, flight director, mission controller, flight engineer, or any one of the 10 jobs.  However, they must work together to solve any problems that might jeopardize the successful flight.
