Auxillary Power Units and Hydraulic Systems Console (APU/HYD)

The Auxiliary Power Units (APU) provide mechanical power to und the hydraulic systems. The hydraulic systems (HYD) activate the control surfaces and gimbals the engines. the APUs must be running during ascent and decent. Otherwise the APU are usually turned off.

The APU/HYD mission control panels are used to monitor the APU and HYD pumps and switches. The fuel supply is also monitored.
